The World Championships

The entire world of hip-hop dance is com­ing to Las Vegas July 27-August 1 for the 2010 World Hip Hop Dance Championship and World Battles.  Over 1700 hip hop/street dan­cers, bboys, lock­ers, pop­pers and more will serve up their sick­est moves and crew cho­reo­graphy to cap­ture the sought after world titles and brag­ging rights.

Hip Hop International is excited to inform you of the fol­low­ing new devel­op­ments in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship:

1. Beginning with the 2010 World Hip Hop Dance Championship prize money has been estab­lished for the 1st place street dance crews total­ing $10,000.  World Battle prize money is $5000.

2.  A semi­final round has been added to the 2010 World Hip Hop Dance Championship sched­ule that will provide many crews with an addi­tional chance to per­form and impress the judges.

The six-days of events include panel dis­cus­sions with respec­ted liv­ing legends and icons of hip hop dance, a funk styles room for tra­di­tional old school dan­cers, and the Urban Moves dance work­shops presen­ted by the most cel­eb­rated hip hop dan­cers and choreographers.

Above all, crews will meet oth­ers from around the world who are equally pas­sion­ate about hip hop cul­ture and dance.   Participating coun­tries to date:  USA, Canada, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, Nigeria, Finland, Poland, France, Colombia, Brazil, Denmark, Argentina, Great Britain, India, Italy, Ireland, Romania, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, Singapore, Greece, Japan, Philippines, Spain and more …
